About the position

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Salem, Massachusetts. This position is designed for a dedicated professional who is ready to take on a 13-week assignment in a short-term acute care hospital. The role involves working 8-hour shifts during the day, where you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating patients before, during, and after procedures in the catheterization laboratory. You will also be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms and ensuring that there is an adequate stock of supplies available for procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and motor skills, including the ability to grasp and manipulate equipment, as well as the physical capability to move about the department and assist with procedures. This position requires working under close supervision at times, as well as the ability to work independently when necessary. The work environment is dynamic, and you will be expected to handle equipment weighing between 50-100 lbs, which may involve pushing, pulling, and bending. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures in the catheterization laboratory.
  • Maintain cleanliness of rooms and ensure adequate stock of supplies.
  • Assist with procedures and use department equipment as needed.
  • Work under close supervision and independently when required.
  • Handle and move equipment weighing between 50-100 lbs, including pushing, pulling, and bending.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Cath Lab Technologist license and certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong technical and motor skills, including fine manipulation and the ability to grasp equipment.
  • Visual acuity and effective communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with charting systems such as Babyscripts and Epic.
  • Previous travel experience in a medical setting.
