About the position

Triage Staffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a position in McAllen, Texas. This role is designed for an Allied Health Professional specializing in MRI technology. The position is set to start as soon as possible and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The work schedule consists of 8-hour shifts during the evenings, specifically from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. As a travel MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI scans and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during the imaging process. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging services. This position requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working in different facilities and may encounter various patient demographics and conditions. Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans on patients as per physician orders.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during the imaging process.
  • Maintain and operate MRI equipment according to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to provide accurate imaging results.
  • Document patient information and imaging results in the medical record.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.
  • Participate in continuing education and training as required.

Requirements

  • Valid MRI Technologist certification and state licensure.
  • Experience in MRI technology and imaging procedures.
  • Ability to work evening shifts and adapt to different facility protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with different MRI machines and technologies.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
  • Previous travel experience as a healthcare professional.
