About the position

This position is designed for an Allied Health Professional specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) technology. The role involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment, assisting in various cardiovascular procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The CVOR Technologist will be responsible for preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and functioning, and assisting the surgical team during procedures. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, as shifts are 12 hours long and may vary based on the needs of the surgical team and patient care requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology, particularly in cardiovascular procedures, and be able to work effectively under pressure. The role also involves collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient outcomes. The position is a travel role, which means the candidate will be expected to adapt to new environments and work with different teams across various healthcare facilities. Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures as a CVOR Technologist.
• Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment is sterile and functioning.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Adapt to varying shift schedules and work environments as a travel technologist.

Requirements

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist with a focus on CVOR procedures.
• Experience in a surgical setting, particularly in cardiovascular surgeries.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including 12-hour shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Previous travel experience as a CVOR Technologist.
