About the position

RTG Medical-Allied is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist for a travel position in Houston, Texas. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care in a specialized environment, focusing on cardiovascular procedures. The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in various diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that patient safety is prioritized at all times. The position requires a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. In this travel position, the Cath Lab Technologist will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, with shifts lasting 8 hours each day. The role is expected to last for a duration of 13 weeks, starting on September 2, 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Cath Lab setting and be comfortable with the fast-paced nature of the work. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in different healthcare settings while providing critical care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. The Cath Lab Technologist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, assisting with patient preparation, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations. This role is vital in supporting the overall mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services to patients in need of cardiac care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in various diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and during procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous travel experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Familiarity with various Cath Lab equipment and technologies.
