About the position

MultiCare Health System is seeking a per diem / prn Echo Technologist for a per diem / prn job in Puyallup, Washington. The Echo Technologist will work collaboratively with a team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and high-quality imaging care for MultiCare patients. The primary responsibility will be to obtain high-quality recordings of ultrasound images of the heart and related structures. This role is essential in supporting the health and well-being of the communities we serve, aligning with our mission of partnering and healing for a healthy future. As an Echo Technologist, you will be required to be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, holding a specialty Registration of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS). Alternatively, being registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) may substitute for RDCS, with the expectation of obtaining ARDMS registry within 12 months of hire or transfer. This position is per diem, meaning that the work schedule will vary based on the needs of the department and the availability of the technologist. Responsibilities

  • Obtain high-quality recordings of ultrasound images of the heart and related structures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive imaging care for patients.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in imaging procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with imaging technology and techniques.

Requirements

  • Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with a specialty Registration of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS).
  • Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International as Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) may be substituted for RDCS with the expectation of obtaining ARDMS registry within 12 months of hire or transfer.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed for per diem shifts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting as an Echo Technologist.
  • Familiarity with advanced ultrasound imaging techniques.
