Responsibilities

  • Perform functions prior to, during, and following electrophysiology procedures.
  • Facilitate all aspects of setup and development of electrophysiology lab equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems with equipment.
  • Assist physician in instrumentation, pacing, and recording activities during EP procedures.
  • Facilitate proper recording and storage of data.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to new staff.
  • Ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements.
  • Rotate through all roles during the shift as defined.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
  • Follow safe guidelines for receiving, transporting, and stocking intravenous (IV) fluids.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology or Cardiac Electrophysiology program required.
