Triage Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel Cath Lab Technologist for a position in Lynwood, California. This role is designed for an Allied Health Professional specializing in Cath Lab technology, and it offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential services in the field of radiology and imaging. The position is set to commence on August 6, 2024, and will last for a duration of 52 weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts during the day, specifically from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, allowing for a structured yet intensive work experience. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the catheterization laboratory. This includes preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions, making your role vital to the healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for catheterization procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality images during procedures.
  • Assist physicians during catheterization procedures, providing necessary support and equipment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels throughout the procedure.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols in the catheterization lab.
  • Document procedures and patient information accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab setting, with a strong understanding of imaging techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures in a clinical setting.
