Skyline Med Staff Allied is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel Cath Lab Technologist for an exciting opportunity in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This position is designed for an Allied Health Professional specializing in Cath Lab technology, and it offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential services to patients. The role is set to commence on September 3, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The shifts will be 10 hours long, primarily during the day, allowing for a structured work schedule that promotes work-life balance. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the catheterization laboratory. This includes preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and assisting physicians during interventions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all procedures are conducted safely and effectively, adhering to the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for catheterization procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Assist physicians during catheterization procedures, including positioning and monitoring patients.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment used in the catheterization lab.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures during procedures.
  • Document patient information and procedure details accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
  • Strong knowledge of catheterization procedures and imaging techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced imaging technologies such as fluoroscopy and intravascular ultrasound.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual skills to communicate with a diverse patient population.
