About the position

Assured Nursing is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel Cath Lab Technologist for a contract position in Chicago, Illinois. This role is essential for providing high-quality care in the Invasive Cardiology department. The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in various procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cath Lab procedures and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This position requires a current state license as a Cath Lab Tech and at least two years of recent experience in the field. The work schedule is set for 10-hour shifts, specifically from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The contract duration is 13 weeks, providing an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to expand their experience in a travel role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various invasive cardiology procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Maintain and operate Cath Lab equipment effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
• Document patient information and procedures accurately in the medical records.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Tech.
• Strong knowledge of invasive cardiology procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with advanced imaging technologies in the Cath Lab.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
