About the position

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Los Angeles, California. This position is designed for a 13-week assignment at a short-term acute care hospital, where the selected candidate will play a crucial role in the catheterization laboratory. The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety. The role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, and handle equipment weighing between 50-100 lbs, which includes pushing, pulling, and bending as necessary. The candidate will also be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms and ensuring an adequate stock of supplies is available at all times. In addition to technical skills, the position demands strong sensory capabilities, including visual acuity and effective communication skills. The Cath Lab Technologist must be able to work under close supervision and occasionally without assistance from other personnel. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures in the catheterization laboratory.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the catheterization rooms and ensure adequate stock of supplies.
  • Handle and move equipment weighing between 50-100 lbs, including pushing, pulling, and bending as necessary.
  • Work under close supervision and occasionally without assistance from other personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and team members to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Cath Lab Technologist license and certification.
  • Experience in a catheterization laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a travel schedule.
  • Strong technical and motor skills, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assist with procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Altera Digital Health, MEDITECH, Mercury Healthcare, and Veradigm Inc charting systems.
  • Previous travel experience in a healthcare setting.
