About the position

RTG Medical-Allied is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist for a travel position in Tucson, Arizona. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care in a specialized environment, focusing on cardiovascular procedures. The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in various diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that patient safety is prioritized throughout the process. The position requires a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in operating imaging equipment and monitoring patients during procedures. As a travel position, the Cath Lab Technologist will be expected to adapt quickly to new environments and work collaboratively with different healthcare teams. The role involves working 40 hours per week, typically in 8-hour shifts during the day. The duration of this assignment is 13 weeks, starting on September 3, 2024. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in various healthcare settings while providing critical support to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and during procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels during procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures in the Cath Lab.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab setting, preferably in a travel capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
  • Proficiency in operating imaging equipment used in the Cath Lab.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous travel experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Advanced certifications in cardiovascular technology.
