About the position

Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic travel Echo Technologist for a contract assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. This position is specifically for a Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) and is set to start as soon as possible. The role involves working 8-hour shifts during the day and is classified as a travel job, which means the candidate will be required to travel to different locations as needed. The contract duration is for 13 weeks, making it a temporary position. The ideal candidate will possess national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or an equivalent certification, along with a valid license from the state regulatory agency if applicable. The role requires effective communication skills, strong human relations abilities, and the capacity to analyze data and solve problems efficiently. Experience in skilled nursing, psychiatric, or mental health settings is preferred, as is a background in outpatient clinics. Additionally, candidates with a nursing diploma or an associate's degree and at least two years of experience in an active treatment unit in a psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic will be considered. The Echo Technologist will work under the direction of the Manager of Ultrasound Services, the Medical Director of the Vascular Laboratory, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology. The position also involves collaboration with experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program, ensuring that the technologist receives guidance and support throughout their assignment. Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiograms and other ultrasound procedures as required.

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and national certification requirements.

Requirements

  • National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.
