About the position

Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic travel Echo Technologist for a contract assignment in New Britain, Connecticut. This position is specifically for a Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) who will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other related diagnostic procedures. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a standard shift of 8 hours during the day, and the role is classified as temporary travel employment. The ideal candidate will possess national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or an equivalent certification, along with a valid state license if applicable. The Echo Technologist will work under the direction of the Manager of Ultrasound Services, the Medical Director of the Vascular Laboratory, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program. The candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills, strong human relations abilities, and the capacity to analyze data and solve problems efficiently. This role is particularly suited for individuals with at least two years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a skilled nursing environment or a psychiatric/mental health hospital or outpatient clinic. Candidates with a Registered Nurse (RN) diploma or associate degree and experience in an active treatment unit are also encouraged to apply.
