About the position

NuWest Travel Nursing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Multi-modality Technologist for a travel position in Susanville, California. This role is designed for an Allied Health Professional who is proficient in multiple imaging modalities. The position is set to start on September 3, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The shifts will be 8 hours long during the day, providing a structured work schedule that allows for a balanced work-life experience. The Multi-modality Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities. This includes, but is not limited to, Radiologic (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Mammography, Breast Sonography, and Angiography. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications in at least two of these modalities, ensuring a high standard of care and expertise in the imaging department. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using multiple modalities including X-ray, CT, DEXA, Mammography, Breast Sonography, and Angiography.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during imaging procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Certification in two or more modalities: Radiologic (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Mammography, Breast Sonography, Angiography.
  • Current state licensure as required for the position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a travel nursing role or similar travel position.
  • Additional certifications in other imaging modalities.
