About the position

Assured Nursing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a contract position in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is specifically for a CVOR Technologist, which is a critical position within the surgical team, focusing on cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the operating room during cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring that all necessary equipment is prepared and functioning properly. The position requires a high level of expertise and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, as well as the capability to collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care. The travel position is set to start on August 12, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The shifts will be 10 hours long, primarily during the day, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Candidates must possess a current state license as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and have at least 2 years of recent experience in a CVOR setting. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operating room during cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Monitor patient conditions and assist in maintaining a sterile environment during surgeries.
  • Provide support to the surgical team as needed throughout the procedure.

Requirements

  • Current state license as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • At least 2 years of recent experience as a CVOR CST.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced cardiac procedures.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
