About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Columbus, OH, Iselin, NJ, Charlotte, NC, Chandler, AZ, and Westlake, TX. This is a 24+ month contract position. The Network Engineer will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Network Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Network Engineering deliverables. The role involves reviewing and analyzing moderately complex Network Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Network Engineer will also contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Network Engineering deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaboration with client personnel in Network Engineering is also a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Network Engineering.
• Contribute to large-scale planning related to Network Engineering deliverables.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Network Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Network Engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Network Engineering.

Requirements

• 2-4 years experience with Python Development.
• Experience with Agile Project Management tools.
• Knowledge of Automation Testing.
• Familiarity with Jenkins.
• Understanding of server and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with Unix/Linux.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of Internet and security technologies.
• Knowledge of DDOS mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with Proxy/SASE technologies.
• Experience with Guest Wifi setups.
• Knowledge of CDN's (Content Delivery Networks).
• Experience with Firewall/Web Application Firewall configurations.
• Understanding of DNS/DHCP.
• Experience with VPN technologies.
