About the position

As a Technology Architect in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you will play a crucial role in the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company. This position involves designing and implementing innovative software solutions that address significant business challenges, enhancing productivity and efficiency across various business areas. You will act as a principal designer for major systems, leveraging your expertise to integrate state-of-the-art technology platforms into business operations.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, engineer, and implement software solutions by studying information needs and conferring with users.
• Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management on all phases of application programming and processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmaceutical business to advance agile and cost-effective solutions.
• Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend efficient application programming solutions.
• Mature and leverage relationships with affiliates, vendors, and industry peers to further organizational goals.
• Mentor and supervise a team, guiding and evaluating their performance.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding policies, safety, compliance, and the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience, Master's Degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 2 years of experience in application program development.
• Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle and application program development alternatives.
• Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Certifications on SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva), cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure), and software development are highly preferred.
