About the position

The Technology Business Partnership Manager at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) plays a vital role in aligning technology initiatives with the organization's strategic goals. This position focuses on fostering collaboration across teams, optimizing effectiveness, and ensuring that technology solutions are tailored to meet business needs. The manager will be responsible for championing the strategic direction of technology, promoting innovation, and delivering value through effective portfolio management and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Define and champion the strategic direction for technology initiatives in alignment with MMA's organizational strategy.
  • Foster collaboration and break down silos between teams to optimize overall effectiveness.
  • Work closely with partners to set expectations and achieve alignment on technology solutions.
  • Develop and deliver key performance indicators by Portfolio to measure value-add solutions.
  • Manage the intake, tracking, and prioritization of new requests as part of demand management.
  • Oversee business-aligned portfolio management, health metrics, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and support business case development, costing, and budgeting efforts.
  • Steward and champion the MMA Strategic Technology Roadmap.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a Business Relationship Manager role or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly.
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
  • Strong people leadership skills and comfort in managing relationships with C-suite executives.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • University degree in computer science and/or project management.
  • Certifications in Agile and related project disciplines.
  • Insurance domain expertise.
