About the position

The Product Owner and Technology Business Lead Analyst will join a dynamic team responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of technology products and projects that support Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA). This senior-level position requires close collaboration with internal business owners and stakeholders to ensure that requirements, strategic direction, and vision are effectively met. The successful candidate will be part of a technology product team that supports a high-visibility and diverse group of business teams, including Public Affairs, Global Real Estate, Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Client and Content Services, Community Investment & Development, and Aviation. The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insights that drive business planning. In this role, the analyst will provide critical input during the development and implementation phases, including the formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives, and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects. The analyst will identify and communicate risks and impacts while proposing risk mitigation options, considering the business implications of applying technology to the current business environment. Consulting with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partnering with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives will be essential. The analyst will evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements, recommending appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards. The role also involves providing in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic functional decisions. Acting as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to achieve business objectives while performing other duties and functions as assigned. Technical project management experience, both waterfall and agile, is required, with oversight of the application life cycle from inception to completion. The analyst will ensure that all projects adhere to requirement standards and reporting requirements, appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made. This includes demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices. The analyst will also be expected to exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in the Product Technology industry.
  • 3 years' experience with Project Management (Waterfall and/or Agile).
  • Ability to understand technical details and explain complex topics to non-technical business colleagues and managers.
  • Experience working with and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders including business leadership, engineering teams, cloud/SaaS vendor technology partners and digital agencies highly desired.
  • Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis.
  • Excellent communications skills a must. Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
