About the position

The Senior Change Enablement Specialist at Marathon Petroleum Corporation is responsible for leading and managing change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of changes within the organization. This role involves collaborating with various teams to align changes with the company's strategy, guiding stakeholders through change management activities, and enhancing the knowledge and awareness of business unit leaders regarding change management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support executives, people leaders, and employees in understanding and adopting changes impacting processes, products, and technology.
  • Identify metrics to measure performance and progress of engagement, readiness, and adoption, analyzing feedback for trends and insights.
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, developing and implementing corrective actions to increase stakeholder readiness.
  • Document process changes and understand risks associated with implementation, ensuring actions are in place to mitigate these risks.
  • Work with teams to identify stakeholders and craft key messages, proactively addressing resistance to change.
  • Draft and execute communications and engagement plans for alignment with corporate communication strategies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies to support organizational initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and collaborate with Creative Services on the creation of communication materials.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the Enterprise Change Readiness center of excellence.
  • Coordinate with Learning Services for training content and Corporate Communications for company-wide materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and executing change readiness plans.
  • Experience in leading and implementing change initiatives, including change strategy development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prosci, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or other change management certification preferred.
  • Experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams through the change process.
  • Change Management experience supporting various project management methodologies, including SafeAgile, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms preferred.
