About the position

Monroe Public Schools is seeking a Technology Computer Technician-Level 3 to provide senior-level technology support throughout the district. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week with a competitive pay range of $16.47 to $21.20 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. The position includes a benefits package and reports to the Director of District Technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily Tier 1 on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
• Perform configuration, installation, and maintenance of operating systems, hardware, and peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues effectively and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with staff members to resolve technology concerns via in-person meetings, phone calls, or written correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Manage time effectively while adhering to detailed instructions and district protocols.
• Perform moderate to heavy lifting of technology equipment as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• At least two (2) years of experience in configuring, installing, and maintaining operating systems, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff members and communicate effectively in multiple formats (in person, phone, and written).
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• A+ Certification is required for this position.
• Must be able and willing to obtain any additional certifications necessary for the role.
