About the position

CAA is seeking a developer with strong software architecture and data engineering skills to join the product development team. This role involves designing and building data infrastructure that supports CAA's applications and analytics tools, contributing to a collaborative environment that values innovation and exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other developers to design and deliver data infrastructure including warehouse, schema, pipelines, OLTP, and ETL.
• Build and maintain supporting services for the data infrastructure.
• Develop new data pipelines and APIs in an agile environment.
• Support the end-to-end lifecycle of software development including design, deployment, testing, operations, monitoring, and support.
• Interact directly with users of the applications to gather feedback and improve functionality.

Requirements

• Proficient in Python with at least three years of experience delivering Python data projects to production.
• Experience with other programming languages such as Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript is welcome, with JavaScript being a plus.
• Experience with Azure data stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Tabular Model / DAX, Microsoft Fabric) or strong experience with open source data technologies like Hadoop, Amazon Glue, Spark, and Airflow.
• Real SQL and NoSQL production experience, particularly with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, CosmosDB, MongoDB, and Elastic.
• Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git and Github.
• Experience in automated deployment of pipelines and schema into production environments.
• Familiarity with agile methods and continuous delivery concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Kafka, Cassandra, or other cloud-based warehouses.
• Experience in customer interaction and data modeling.

Benefits

• Annual base salary range of $127,000 - $141,000.
• Eligibility for benefits and a discretionary bonus.
