About the position

The Technology Leader at Gia-Pacific in Brewton, Alabama, serves as the primary IT point of contact for the paper manufacturing facility. This role focuses on IT oversight, support, communication, coaching, and knowledge sharing. The successful candidate will lead the site IT support team, engage with mill leadership, and build effective relationships with stakeholders to address systems and technical needs. Key skills include communication, troubleshooting, and manufacturing systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and align the site IT team to the IT Vision and execute business initiatives.
  • Own the overall technical roadmap to support the site Manufacturing Transformation.
  • Adhere to cybersecurity standards and process control security processes.
  • Foster partnerships with process control, engineering, and corporate IT capabilities.
  • Accountable for site-based IT projects, including interfacing with end users and developing project scope.
  • Partner with other capability groups to enable emerging manufacturing solutions.
  • Collaborate with other Koch companies to leverage common solutions, platforms, and applications.
  • Provide support for site IT networks and systems, implementing best practices for network architecture and security.
  • Drive the adoption of standard systems, process visualization, and data analytics.
  • Support the daily technical needs of the site.

Requirements

  • Experience leading technical teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with network infrastructure technologies, including switching, routing, and wireless.
  • Knowledge of VMWare, VM Hosts, network monitoring and analysis tools, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering IT projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and present technical documentation to mill and corporate leadership.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cisco IOS and hardware, Firewalls, and communication protocols such as TCP/UDP, Modbus, etc.
  • Experience with OT Infrastructure associated with PLCs and/or DCS.
  • Experience with OSIsoft Historian, Ignition, Kepware, FactoryTalk, Experion, DeltaV, Foxboro, etc.
