About the position

As the Sales and Marketing Technology Manager at Caterpillar, you will lead a team focused on driving the growth and adoption of technology solutions in the Western US and Canada. This field-based management role is pivotal in transforming customer and dealer engagement through effective technology implementation and strategic marketing initiatives. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of technology growth plans, while also advocating for customer needs and providing insights for future product development.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation and execution of Technology Growth Plans with dealers in the regions.
  • Support dealer technology organization creation or expansion in line with the Construction Industries Technology Playbook.
  • Ensure effective communication of value selling messages to field teams, dealers, and customers.
  • Achieve annual go-to-market goals including business execution and KPI management.
  • Provide leadership in technology sales and marketing for the region.
  • Gather and provide Voice of Customer and Voice of Dealer insights for new product introductions.
  • Lead strategic recommendations for future go-to-market and sales execution models.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills with commercial acumen and industry knowledge.
  • Ability in strategic thinking and organizational acumen.
  • Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies.
  • Extensive experience in the commercial space with Go To Market responsibilities.

  • Previous experience with marketing technology products
  • Prior supervisory experience
