About the position

As a Technology Operational Risk Management Lead at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in the Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC) team within Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk Technology & Cybersecurity. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and identify deficiencies in control design and execution, ensuring the effective delivery of risk and controls frameworks. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including senior management, to maintain strong relationships across technology and control organizations, contributing to the firm's ability to manage technology and cybersecurity risks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the governance practices related to technology policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Evaluate Global Technology's framework for compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Challenge the implementation and execution of first line controls.
  • Identify thematic risks based on key risk indicators and performance metrics.
  • Assess the prioritization and treatment of control findings for Global Technology, providing actionable reporting.
  • Execute monitoring and testing activities to detect operational risks throughout the technology lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology risk management and controls governance.
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, FFIEC, FSP, and Heightened Standards.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations related to technology and cybersecurity, including privacy and outsourcing.
  • Experience in providing independent reviews and challenges of first line technology and cybersecurity assessments and controls.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and influence management at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently or with limited instruction.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with modern technologies such as public and private cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, and CISSP.
