About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the private cloud operations team within the Chief Technology Office. This role focuses on building a high-performing platform team to enhance customer experiences with private cloud technology. The manager will oversee operations metrics, improve practices, and manage platform support and roadmap activities to drive operational excellence and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of operations managers and engineers in specialized domain areas.
• Resolve multiple incidents by identifying troubleshooting techniques and facilitating communication among teams.
• Collaborate with Product Managers/Engineers to drive user satisfaction and influence product roadmap priorities.
• Manage platform maintenance activities including certificates, patches, upgrades, and compliance tasks.
• Improve CI/CD practices and manage observability dashboards for platform delivery.
• Ensure production stability and manage change and problem management tasks according to guidelines.
• Interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers.
• Allocate people and financial resources to meet commitments and align with strategic objectives.
• Hire and develop talent to support private cloud platforms and conduct performance management for operations engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Technology Operations experience or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Management experience.
• 5+ years of Platform Operations/Service Management experience, including Database and Middleware management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cloud platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), OpenShift, or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience managing enterprise cloud or non-cloud platforms, including upgrades and migrations.
• Hands-on experience with modern platforms such as CaaS/IaaS/PaaS/SaaS.
• Strong technical background supporting large scale platforms.
