The Technology Risk & Issues Management Analyst - AVP position at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is a critical role that focuses on providing independent risk oversight for MUSA Securities Technology and related business units. The selected candidate will engage with various lines of defense to manage the full IT issue management lifecycle, from identification to closure. This role is essential in implementing a self-identification process for technology issues, which will enhance the administrative load on the technology risk management function. The position requires a collaborative approach to steward the Technology Risk Framework, ensuring effective identification, reporting, and mitigation of technology risks, as well as other related risks such as operational, compliance, and governance risks within MUSA Enterprise Technology. The analyst will execute independent assessments of technology maturity and the adequacy of technology controls to achieve desired business outcomes, including performance, stability, security, and service availability. A key aspect of this role is to strengthen and sustain a proactive risk culture by conducting effective risk-focused management and partnership routines with technology teams and internal partners. The analyst will interface with senior leaders and key partners across the organization, reviewing and challenging the outcomes of first line-of-defense risk program execution. Additionally, the role involves monitoring legal, regulatory, compliance, and audit matters for assigned Enterprise Technology oversight areas, ensuring timely actions are taken. The analyst will lead complex projects that have broad technology and enterprise-level impacts, providing informal leadership and serving as a resource on complex solutions. The ability to navigate interdisciplinary, matrix environments is crucial, as the analyst will need to pivot between advisory and implementation consultant roles effectively. This position is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid work model requiring four days in the office and one day remote.
