About the position

Our Client, a leading technology company located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for their Buford, GA location. The SDR will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying potential customers. As the first point of contact for potential clients, the SDR must excel in cold calling, strategic research, and leveraging various outreach methods to build and nurture leads for the sales team. The SDR will be responsible for mastering the art of engaging prospects within the first 60 seconds of a call, using effective openers and problem propositions to present the company's solutions in a way that resonates with the prospect's pain points. They will follow a structured approach to handle objections smoothly and navigate through gatekeepers, ensuring a professional and effective outreach process. In addition to cold calling, the SDR will conduct strategic research to identify key decision-makers and potential clients in target industries. Utilizing tools like LinkedIn, CRM systems, and other databases, they will build a robust list of prospects and understand their business needs, challenges, and goals to tailor outreach efforts effectively. The role requires making a high volume of daily cold calls, leaving effective voicemails, and utilizing email and social media to complement cold calling efforts. The SDR will also be responsible for applying objection handling techniques, tracking all activities in the CRM, and maintaining accurate records of prospecting activities. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role, as the SDR will analyze call performance data to enhance connect rates and overall conversion. Participation in regular training and development sessions will be essential to stay sharp and effective in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Master the art of the first 60 seconds to engage prospects and earn their attention for the next 60 seconds.
  • Use effective openers and problem propositions to present the company's solutions in a way that resonates with the prospect's pain points.
  • Follow the structured approach to handle objections smoothly and navigate through gatekeepers.
  • Conduct strategic research to identify key decision-makers and potential clients in target industries.
  • Use tools like LinkedIn, CRM systems, and other databases to build a robust list of prospects.
  • Understand the prospect's business needs, challenges, and goals to tailor outreach efforts effectively.
  • Make a high volume of daily cold calls to generate new leads and set up meetings for the sales team.
  • Leave effective voicemails that encourage callbacks and increase engagement with follow-up emails.
  • Utilize email, social media, and other channels to complement cold calling efforts and increase the chances of conversion.
  • Apply the 'Mr. Miyagi Method' to handle objections that arise during the call.
  • Utilize the talk tracks for the 18 most common objections to keep the conversation moving forward.
  • Track all activities, conversations, and follow-ups in the CRM to ensure a smooth handover to the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities to provide insights and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Analyze call performance data to improve connect rates, set rates, and overall conversion.
  • Continuously refine calling techniques and strategies based on feedback, results, and data-driven insights.
  • Participate in regular training and development sessions to stay sharp and effective in the role.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Familiarity with cold calling techniques and tools like CRM software, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify potential leads and understand market trends.
  • Ability to handle rejection and objections with a positive attitude and resilience.
