About the position

As a Technology Sales Specialist at IBM, you will be responsible for developing trusting relationships with clients and understanding their technology needs. Your consultative selling approach will help clients leverage IBM's industry-leading solutions to solve their business challenges and achieve their goals. This role emphasizes collaboration within a supportive sales environment, where you will work closely with various teams to drive sales and client success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with a dedicated client set.
  • Understand client needs and demonstrate how IBM's technology can solve their problems.
  • Manage the entire sales process, including RFI/RFP response preparation.
  • Ensure delivery against KPIs with a focus on new business sales and expanding existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with the broader IBM sales ecosystem to build sales campaigns and incremental pipeline.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in technology sales, particularly in new client acquisition.
  • Experience calling on C-suite executives and developing compelling value propositions.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen to communicate operational impact and financial value of solutions.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and anticipate potential problems while assessing opportunities and risks.
  • Strong business development and hunting skills with demonstrated deal progression management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
