About the position

As a Technology Services Project Coordinator at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the workflow of technology and security projects that focus on the organization's infrastructure. This position is integral to coordinating and organizing various technology efforts, including migrations from on-premises systems to cloud-based solutions, as well as managing IT service management project workflows. You will ensure that infrastructure compliance objectives are met while facilitating communication across teams and departments. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from project management to compliance tracking, making this a dynamic and engaging role within the Technology Services Team. In this position, you will manage and implement project plans, resource plans, and reporting documentation. You will serve as the principal lead for projects from initiation to completion, monitoring execution and reporting on results. Your role will also involve leading external and internal contract negotiations for all IT partner relationships, ensuring that all agreements are tracked and managed effectively. You will facilitate communication to publicize project outcomes and lead meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on infrastructure initiatives. Additionally, you will maximize knowledge transfer by creating easy-to-understand documentation, standard operating procedures, and policy manual updates. Tracking compliance initiatives to ensure audit requirements are met will be a key responsibility, as will monitoring spending on infrastructure costs and tracking the expiration of platform subscriptions. You will collaborate closely with the Legal and Purchasing Departments on submissions and terminations of contract agreements, ensuring that all processes are handled efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure project management.
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Project and/or similar project management platforms.
  • Success in leading and managing complex projects from concept to post-deployment.
  • Experience documenting project plans.
  • Highly self-motivated, collaborative individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Delivery focused with a capacity to drive tasks forward to meet deadlines.
