About the position

The Technology Support III - QA Automation Tester role within the Payments Technology Group focuses on ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of production application flows. The position emphasizes a culture of continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and resolving service interruptions to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations.
  • Support the day-to-day maintenance of the firm's systems to ensure operational stability and availability.
  • Assist in monitoring production environments for anomalies and address issues using standard observability tools.
  • Identify issues for escalation and communication, providing solutions to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, specifically QA processes and test methodologies.
  • Assist in the definition and documentation of test strategies.
  • Act as a key contributor in the continued automation development and frameworks maintenance.
  • Ensure automation tests adhere to established processes and standards.
  • Manually test legacy mainframe applications.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment, both on-premises and public cloud.
  • Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Exposure to processes in the scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium).
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Selenium, GIT, Jenkins, WebDriver, TestNG.
  • Experience in web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, load, performance, and end-to-end testing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version controlling tools like Bitbucket, GIT.
  • Experience testing mainframe legacy applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting.
  • Working understanding of public cloud.
