About the position

The Technology Support Specialist II plays a crucial role in Latham & Watkins' Technology & Information Services team, providing essential support for desktop, notebook, and remote computing issues. This position is responsible for maintaining hardware, assisting end users with firm-approved applications, and ensuring the smooth operation of technology services within the Houston office. The role emphasizes collaboration, customer service, and technical proficiency in various software and hardware systems.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to desktops, notebooks, hardware, and customer-related services.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting printers, Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs), and mobile devices.
  • Assisting end users with firm-approved applications, including Microsoft Office, iManage, and VPN.
  • Setting up and configuring desktop and notebook computers and printers.
  • Coordinating with local Technology department members on product installation and support.
  • Setting up conference rooms for technology services such as presentations and video conferencing.
  • Protecting and maintaining sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of technology support experience with PC hardware/software.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-focused role.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of iManage 10 and Litera ChangePro.
  • Experience with software installations and upgrades.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of standard hardware components and peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of printer and MFD hardware/settings.
