About the position

The Teen Center Program Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing engaging educational programs for youth aged 12-18 at the Boys & Girls Club. This role focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters personal growth and essential life skills among young people. The position is part-time, primarily during the school year and summer, with flexible scheduling options.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging educational programs for youth.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for young people.
• Lead groups of 10-20 members in specific program areas.
• Build supportive relationships with youth.
• Recognize youth accomplishments and deliver opportunities.
• Uphold safety standards and create a clean environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED, with a commitment to complete a two or four-year degree.
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development principles.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Valid State Driver's License.
