About the position

The Teen Clubhouse Program Manager at Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is responsible for overseeing various programs aimed at youth development, including education, career development, recreation, and health & wellbeing. This role involves planning, developing, and supervising programs and staff to create a supportive environment for young people, ensuring their success and self-worth. The manager will also engage with families and community partners to foster positive relationships and promote the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee partnerships, recruitment, education, career development, recreation, arts & culture, and health & wellbeing programs.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs, services, and activities.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe environment; maintain facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Supervise program employees and volunteers, including conducting performance appraisals.
  • Manage day-to-day programming and ensure enrollment procedures are followed.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, families, and community partners.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly program reports and participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, Sociology, or related field, or 5 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in education programs, social work, youth development, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of positive youth development and ability to design learning strategies.
  • Understanding of mental health care services and trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent assessment, case management, crisis intervention, and communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organization, and project prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
