About the position

The Telehealth Program Assistant's primary purpose is to serve the health care system for virtual care needs. The assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all telehealth operations run smoothly and efficiently, providing necessary support to healthcare professionals and patients alike. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, as the assistant will interact with patients and healthcare providers to facilitate virtual appointments and address any concerns that may arise during the telehealth process. Additionally, the role demands a high level of technological proficiency, as the assistant will be required to navigate various telehealth platforms and tools to assist in delivering quality care. The Telehealth Program Assistant will also be involved in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to telehealth services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Overall, this position plays a crucial role in enhancing the telehealth experience for both patients and providers, contributing to the overall mission of Penn State Health to provide exceptional care and support to the community.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of medical, secretarial or customer service work experience required.
