About the position
First Choice Nurses is seeking passionate and committed Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for per-diem and local contract opportunities in various locations across Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in collaboration with healthcare teams, ensuring the well-being of patients through continuous monitoring and support.
Responsibilities
- Continuous evaluation and monitoring of patients for signs of recovery or worsening of their condition.
- Changing dressings, starting IV lines, and inserting catheters.
- Preparing medical equipment and maintaining supplies for immediate use.
- Administering medication as directed by a physician or within the nurse's own schedule of drugs.
- Accurately reporting on patients' progress to other members of the care team, families, and medical decision-makers.
- Assisting doctors with monitoring and bedside procedures in the progressive care unit.
Requirements
- Covid Vaccine
- 1 year Experience Minimum
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Updated PPD (within 1 year)
- Active RN License
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds without restrictions.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long hours without restrictions.
- Must be able to bend and lift without restrictions.
