About the position

Telemundo Austin is seeking a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) for its Spanish language local newscast. The role involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as generating story ideas and building contacts. The MMJ will produce daily content across various platforms, including the internet, social media, mobile devices, and television.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts.
• Produce daily content for multiple platforms including internet, social networking sites, mobile phones, and television.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years reporting experience is required.
• Experience with live shots is necessary.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
