About the position

Telemundo Austin is seeking a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) for its Spanish language local newscast. The MMJ will be responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as generating story ideas and building contacts. This role involves producing content across various platforms, including television, internet, social media, and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories for local newscast.
• Generate and develop story ideas and contacts.
• Produce daily content for multiple platforms including television, internet, and social media.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of reporting experience.
• Experience with live shots.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
