About the position
The Telephone Premium Auditor position at Summit Consulting, LLC involves conducting audits of technical reviews and ensuring the accuracy of earned premium calculations for workers' compensation risks. The role requires interaction with customers to facilitate the audit process and resolve discrepancies, while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Audits technical reviews from physical audits.
- Examines/audits records to ensure that calculations of earned premium for risks are accurate.
- Validates that correct classes are being applied in accordance with company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials.
- Prepares voluntary audits to go out to insureds and monitors the return and completeness of incoming voluntary audits.
- Interacts with customers to answer questions and encourage the return of completed audits.
- Reviews results of audits with producers, underwriters, insureds, and Premium Audit leadership.
- Identifies opportunities to resolve discrepancies.
- Serves as initial audit dispute review and works to resolve disputed items.
- May perform telephone audits.
- Maintains a working knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions and ensures correct and consistent application.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- Generally, 6 months to 3 years of related experience.
- Associates in Premium Audit Program (APA) certification preferred.
