This position is a full-time telephonic nursing role with DirectEmployers, where the primary responsibility is to provide telephonic education to patients and caregivers in accordance with clinical protocols and nursing guidelines. The role is designed for Registered Nurses (RNs) who reside in a compact state and are looking to make a difference in the health and well-being of others. The work is conducted from home, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that patients receive the necessary support and education regarding their health conditions. As a telephonic nurse, you will take ownership of the patient experience via telephone, providing disease and drug-specific education to both patients and caregivers. You will follow clinical protocols while assessing and documenting clinical data and interventions. The role emphasizes coaching patients to empower them to manage their health effectively. You will collaborate with the patient's treating physician to communicate any new symptoms or health-related matters, supported by a network of nurses. In addition to patient education, you will also assist clinical departments with new hire training and mentoring, as well as conducting peer-to-peer quality documentation checks to provide feedback to management.
