About the position

The Teller - Bilingual position at Arvest Bank involves processing customer transactions and providing exceptional customer service under the supervision of a manager. The role requires engaging with customers to identify their needs and referring them to product specialists, while also ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations. The Teller is expected to contribute to branch sales goals and maintain a high level of professionalism and cooperation with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to achievement of branch sales goals by engaging customers in discovery conversations to determine their product needs and referring customers to the appropriate product specialists.
• Deliver consistent exceptional customer service by displaying sincere, outgoing, and aggressive friendliness.
• Accurately accept and process customer teller transactions, adhering to bank policies and procedures.
• Cash checks and withdrawals up to authorized limits; request authorization for transactions above assigned limits.
• Prepare daily settlements of teller cash and proof transactions.
• Explain policies and procedures to customers using customer-focused skills.
• Balance cash drawer to transactions daily.
• May open new accounts if successfully completed FSR training.
• Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cash handling and teller operations.
• Knowledge of banking products and services.
