About the position

The Teller & Customer Service Representative Floater is responsible for providing quality customer service and adhering to the customer service standards set forth by the bank. This position involves conducting transactions accurately, recognizing opportunities to grow customer relationships, and handling routine inquiries. The role also includes greeting and welcoming customers, determining their needs, and developing new business relationships while maintaining existing ones. The associate will cross-train to perform various duties, including those of a teller and ATM operations, to ensure the branch functions efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Counting and sorting money
  • Processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and monetary instruments
  • Balancing cash drawer daily
  • Completing Currency Transaction Reports
  • Completing Monetary Instrument Log
  • Adhering to Bank policy and federal regulations
  • Providing quality customer service
  • Assisting customers with safe deposit entry
  • Assuming ATM/Vault processing and other duties as assigned
  • Cross-selling other Bank products and services
  • Opening, closing, and performing maintenance on accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, etc.)
  • Providing notary services
  • Serving as backup teller
  • Completing CTR reports and monetary instrument logs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Computer literacy preferred; knowledge of Word & Excel a plus
  • Successful completion of in-house training program or other new accounts' training
  • Six months prior banking experience or related customer service position
  • Prior sales experience and cash handling experience preferred
