About the position

The Member Service Specialist (MSS) role at Idaho Central Credit Union is designed for individuals who enjoy helping others and solving problems. As the first point of contact for members, the MSS is responsible for ensuring member satisfaction through courteous and efficient service, providing information about credit union services, and assisting members in achieving their financial goals. This position requires a positive attitude and the ability to learn various systems to effectively handle member transactions.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring member satisfaction through courteous, accurate, and efficient service.
• Providing general information to members about Credit Union services.
• Referring members to products and services that assist them in achieving financial success.
• Learning a variety of channels and systems to perform member transactions.
• Utilizing resources to resolve member concerns on the first contact.
• Informing the manager of member needs regarding products and services.
• Demonstrating core values of Honesty and Integrity, Respect and Dignity, Growth and Performance, and Improvement and Accountability.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use a calculator and handle cash efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to learn a variety of channels and systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of Credit Union records.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the Financial Industry.
• Prior experience in a Customer Service role.
