Requirements

Responsibilities

• Explains, promotes, and sells products and services such as traveler's checks, savings bonds, money orders, and cashier's checks.
• Cross-sells additional bank products and directs customers to representatives for account openings or investment needs.
• Receives checking and savings deposits, verifies cash and endorsements, and issues receipts for deposits.
• Identifies counterfeit currency and examines checks for proper funds availability.
• Cashes checks and processes savings withdrawals after verifying signatures and customer balances.
• Enters transactions into the computer and issues computer-generated receipts.
• Answers basic customer inquiries regarding service charges and account histories while complying with regulations.
• Accepts loan payments, verifies payment amounts, and issues receipts.
• Buys and sells currency from the vault, ensuring teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
• Receives FICA payments and verifies deposit coupons are properly completed.
• Balances drawer daily and counts cash in automated teller machines and night depository.
• Handles customer complaints and escalates issues to supervisors as needed.
• Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
