About the position

The Teller position at California Coast Credit Union is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional service to members by processing transactions, addressing member requests, and referring financial products and services. Responsibilities

• Process member transactions accurately and timely.
• Perform account file maintenance and handle member issues.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer members to Personal Financial Representatives.
• Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales and service goals.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Follow quality service standards to ensure exceptional service is provided.
• Ensure compliance with daily cash drawer balancing and limits.
• Identify questionable or suspicious transaction activity and report it to management.
• Perform necessary steps to ensure BSA/AML compliance.
• Assist with branch balancing, opening and closing procedures, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Teller I: Previous sales, member service, and cash handling experience in a financial institution is preferred.
• Teller II: 1 year experience in a financial institution as a teller plus proven successful performance in sales, member service, and cash handling.
• Teller III: 3 years experience in a financial institution as a teller plus proven successful performance in sales, member service, and cash handling.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions from a supervisor.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with Microsoft Windows applications is preferred.
• Ability to operate standard business machines such as computer, printer, fax, copier, and telephonic devices.
