About the position

At Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union, our mission is to help our members grow financially, and our vision is to be their first choice for all financial services. We are seeking a service-minded individual to join our team as a Teller (Member Services Representative I) at our Halls location. This full-time position is essential in providing the high-quality service our members expect and deserve. As a Teller, you will be the first point of contact for our members, greeting them in a professional manner and ensuring their transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the trust and satisfaction of our members by providing prompt service and addressing their needs effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for processing various transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, while adhering to established policies and regulations. You will maintain your cash drawer with minimal discrepancies and stay informed about applicable federal and state laws. Additionally, you will assist members with account inquiries, educate them about our products and services, and promote our offerings based on their needs. Your ability to analyze and resolve account issues will be vital in ensuring a positive member experience. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome members in a professional manner.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions.
  • Accurately process all teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Maintain cash drawer or cash dispenser with minimal discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Perform other teller duties such as issuing money orders and processing debit card disputes.
  • Respond to member requests, problems, and complaints.
  • Answer member questions regarding account issues, products, and services.
  • Review account information for restrictions and funds availability.
  • Provide members with information on account status and analyze account issues.
  • May serve as the branch Membership Officer or Security Specialist.
  • Train to operate the vault, balance the ATM, and open/close the branch as needed.
  • May open new membership accounts and process consumer loan applications.
  • Work as a productive and contributive team member to reach set goals.
  • Meet and exceed members' expectations while maintaining quick and efficient service.
  • Counsel members about Credit Union products and services based on their needs.
  • Educate and assist members with electronic and online services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Cash handling and service-industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Must successfully complete teller test at the conclusion of teller training.
  • May complete New Accounts and Lending training.
