About the position

The Teller Operations Business Analyst position is a critical role within the organization, focusing on optimizing application capabilities and enhancing business processes related to teller operations. This position is based in Cleveland, OH, and is open only to local candidates. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive business analysis and project/product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and ongoing support of relevant lines of business (LOBs). The role requires a deep understanding of industry trends to influence requirements for new application features and enhancements that align with the company's strategic priorities. In this role, the analyst will identify the business needs of users, outline potential solutions, and translate business requirements into appropriate formats. This includes creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping (source to target mappings), as well as functional and non-functional requirements. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the application capabilities meet the needs of the business and its users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business systems analysis, with at least 10 years of experience in related IT roles, including a minimum of 3 years of operations experience as a teller using the Argo Teller21 platform or equivalent systems. Familiarity with Alogent Front Counter or other check processing and GL reconciliation processes for retail branches is also essential. The candidate must possess excellent analytical skills, be hands-on with the software application platforms supported by the squad, and bridge the gap between business and technology effectively. Strong collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Influence a cross-functional team in the optimization of application capabilities and business processes.
  • Provide business analysis and project/product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and ongoing support of relevant lines of business (LOBs).
  • Utilize industry trends to influence requirements for new application features and enhancements consistent with strategic priorities.
  • Identify the business needs of users and outline potential solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into appropriate formats including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working as a Business System Analyst or in related IT roles.
  • Minimum 3 years of operations experience as a teller using the Argo Teller21 platform or equivalent exposure to retail branch teller operations and systems.
  • Familiarity with Alogent Front Counter or other check processing and GL reconciliation processes for retail branches.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a group/team setting and independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong accountability and responsibility for tasks and actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scaled Agile Framework, and Waterfall concepts.
  • Experience working in agile squads.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to deliver business analysis artifacts such as use cases, process flows, and data mapping documentation.
  • Ability to break down complex concepts into simple and digestible requirements.
  • Execute design thinking and systems thinking when developing requirements artifacts.
  • Attention to detail and a drive to deliver quality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in IT / Computer Science.
  • Experience in retail branch and teller operations.
  • Certifications such as CBAP or agile certifications.
