About the position

The Teller Operations Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and facilitating a positive banking experience for customers. This part-time role involves processing various transactions, maintaining accurate records, and promoting the bank's products and services while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a cash drawer including posting deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and cashing checks.
• Maintain accurate details of each transaction.
• Prepare daily general ledger entries.
• Perform vault functions as necessary.
• Assist with daily balancing of the coin machine.
• Assist customers with account or product inquiries.
• Balance teller drawer and verify accuracy of posted transactions.
• Promote the bank's products and services and cross-sell bank products at every opportunity.
• Make a concentrated effort to solve customer problems.
• Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• At least six (6) months prior experience in the retail industry.
• At least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
• Typing, PC, 10-key calculator skills, and ability to handle large quantities of currency.
• Good problem-solving skills and solid decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication, prioritization, and organization of work activities.
