About the position
As a Teller Supervisor at Buckeye State Credit Union, you will lead the front line of the credit union, focusing on sales, customer service, operations, and team management. Your role will involve supervising teller operations, coaching staff, and ensuring a high-quality experience for members while promoting credit union products and services. You will be responsible for employee engagement and resolving member issues, all within a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Promote and strive to create a world-class experience for members.
- Actively seek out consultative sales opportunities and cross-sell credit union products and services based on member needs.
- Supervise the activities of the teller operations area by assigning work, answering questions, and solving problems.
- Help members understand policies and procedures as they relate to them.
- Ensure that staff is trained and cross-trained in all phases of their jobs and in all credit union products and services.
- Coach tellers to ensure high standards are met.
- Hold periodic staff meetings to discuss areas needing improvement and new developments or services.
- Encourage the exchange of ideas among staff.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience supervising in banking or customer service.
- Strong communication skills, including attentive and active listening.
- Efficient at multitasking and understanding patience and empathy for others.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and influence others.
- Must be open to feedback and coachable.
