About the position

The Teller Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Teller line, ensuring efficient and professional service to customers. This role involves coordinating work assignments, training staff, and maintaining compliance with bank policies and procedures. The supervisor also plays a key role in customer service, resolving issues, and promoting bank products and services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective Teller operations in accordance with established policies and standards.
• Coordinate Teller operations by assigning work and distributing workflow.
• Assist Tellers with complex transactions and customer relations problems.
• Investigate and resolve Teller out-of-balance conditions and ensure daily balancing of Tellers.
• Perform Teller functions as required, including receiving deposits and loan payments.
• Maintain inventory of negotiable items for the Teller area.
• Ensure customer service functions are performed according to established standards.
• Resolve customer requests and problems promptly or refer them appropriately.
• Present and explain bank services and products to customers.
• Supervise area personnel, providing leadership and ensuring optimal performance.
• Provide training and support to new employees and existing staff.
• Monitor compliance with policies and procedures among Tellers.
• Establish effective communication with branch personnel and management.
• Complete required reports and attend meetings as necessary.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.
• Good understanding of Bank operations and philosophy.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Supervisory and training abilities.
• Solid math skills and good judgment for sound decisions.
• Ability to operate related computer software and business equipment.

• Experience with Windows and Excel spreadsheet applications.
